Hi! I look forward to working with you for your coursework in the social sciences, especially for SPSS! I have completed an M.A. in Child and Family Policy from Tufts University with a 3.5 GPA., and also have completed a Ph.D. in Urban Affairs & Public Policy with a 3.6 GPA from University of Delaware.
I have had both graduate level coursework and practical research work experience with organizing data in SPSS and running basic statistical analysis. I can help you organize your data and then code, enter and analyze the data. I hope to support others who are new to SPSS with homework assignments and learning for the purposes of completing research projects!
I have received A grades in my own writing for both English coursework and research papers for both academic and other audiences. I realize that proof reading research/scientific papers is a tedious task that sometimes requires another perspective to modify, edit, and improve the writing. I'd like to support you in getting to that A grade or the level of professional achievement that you are striving for!
In this course you will learn how to better define research questions for analysis, identify relevant variables, code data, make codebooks, write an analysis plan and write results in APA format. You will learn how to do descriptive and inferential data analysis in SPSS, from entering data in variable view, and data view, and defining these components properly. You will learn about how to decide what analysis is best, and how to do basic descriptive analysis, and T-tests, correlation, chi square, linear regression, anova, etc.
